The sound lives on
Drawing inspiration from the iconic sound signature of the original MDR‑3, the MDR-3R has been refined for today’s listening styles. Inheriting Sony’s headphone DNA, it delivers natural vocals and well-balanced sound, enhanced with deeper bass, more extended highs, and greater vocal clarity. The open-air design creates a spacious, airy soundstage that belies its compact on-ear form. While updated for modern music, streaming and media consumption, it faithfully preserves the authentic character that defined the original MDR‑3.
