For The Music - Brand Video Text Transcript

This short video introduces the partnership between Post Malone and Sony’s For The Music campaign, inspired by the ability for high quality music experiences to connect artists and their audiences in new and compelling ways.

It features Post Malone ’s track “Sign Me Up”.

The video opens with a close-up shot of an original (TPS-L2) Sony cassette WALKMAN, placed on the end of a bed alongside a Sony cassette tape handwritten with the artist’s name Post Malone.

The Sony logo and the logo lock-up for “For The MUSIC x Post Malone” appears at the top of the screen.

A young man is sitting on the end of the bed strumming his acoustic guitar in front of a C-80 microphone, with MDR-M1 headphones on his head.

As we rotate around him, he looks up at a Post Malone poster, among others,  on the opposite wall of his bedroom. Slowly, the Post Malone image in the poster seems to come to life in an animated way.

The shot cuts back to the young man, as his eyes shine with inspiration while gazing at the poster and increases the energy of his strumming.

The camera rotates around the young man, and tightens in on his headphones, as the scene transitions into a lively crowd at a dimly-lit bar.

The camera continues to push through the crowd in the bar, as they gather around the stage where the young man is now strumming his guitar for the enthusiastic audience.

As the shot rotates around the smiling man, the stage begins to lifts him as a bright spotlight suddenly turns on and the man finds himself stepping into the light in the middle of a large packed arena venue.

As the camera continues to spins, he turns to find he is playing alongside  [artist], who smiles as they strum their guitars together.

The man looks out at the audience in awe, as the camera moves towards Post Malone.

The shot of Post Malone freezes, and the shot pulls back to reveal he has become the poster in the bedroom. The young man continues to listen to the music through his headphones, this time with his eyes closed and immersed in the music under the caption "Where Creator and Fan become one".

The video ends with animated "For The MUSIC" then Sony logos.
